its not much of a bday, but it was the best we came up with at short notice.

then we talked bout what to throw at him.

then we started talking about baling kasut, but she stopped me from doing so...

we thought of doing that, letak pisang tanduk dlm beg but...pisang xsempat beli la plk...

we decided to call it 'the year of the monkey'

we were sent to nursery, pre-school, tadika, and all that.

why?

hmm..i haven't figured that out yet.

honestly, all i remember was taking loads of naps, and...yea, naps je la yang i remember.

and the naps do come in handy nowadays.

then we were sent to primary school.

this is where our talent is recognised. well, sooner or later around that age.

though we didnt realise it back then, somewhere in the back of our head, we kinda get the idea of what we wanted to be, WHO we wanted to be.

even if you dont see it at this stage, someone is bound to notice.

for example; teachers or parents.

honestly, at this stage, i didnt know what i wanted to be.

maybe coz i haven't seen the world

or i wasnt paying attention, you knw, being a kid and all.

and that was why my parents allow me to go to summer university.

then, baru i get the idea of who i wanted to be.

but then, you know how parents are, they always wants the best for you.

i guess what i chose wasnt best enough...=(

anyway, now we step into the world of teenagers; secondary school.

to me, this is the best and most important years of our life.

mine, at least.

this is where not only our talent and potential is recognised clearly, it is also the best time to develop it.

this is where and when we learn about ourselves.

we develop ourselves at this stage.

we mould into a character; us.

here is were school plays an important role.

as it is the school, there is bound to be activities, thus, oppotunities, right?

students get to show what they have; potential, talent, qualities.

school, on the other hand, is suppose to support the students.

SUPPORT THEM BY ALL MEANS.

not slander them down.

because school is where the students spend most of their time in.

it is our 2nd home.

teachers are our 2nd parents.

they not only teach us, but love and care for us.

like parent, right?

so, shoudn't teachers support us by all means?

im not gonna talk about other teachers, they're great.

today was quite a tiring day.

we celebrated TEACHERS' DAY!

then, sabut to the rescue. he shouted; oi, sape yg ajar ko pj ha??

nk backup cikgu dolah.

-so evrything dh ok, dh blh masuk skolah n of coz, blaja blk.

the debaters met, unplanned ye, and talked. suddenly we saw CIKGU ZAIDI!

heh, ad hati nk lari dr ktrng.

we went to claim, but mcm biasa, he ignored us, buat2 xtau wat we were talking about.

cikgu,cikgu...kan kte ad kelas bm same2.

i know its weird of me to say it, but, cikgu, i know where you live...

-so then life was back to normal.

oh yea, we made a list for cikgu zaidi.

you are soo gonna be broke this month.

and another thing, the longer you ignore us, the longer the list gets.

this morning, as usual, woke up to go to school.

it was around 7.10 when we bertolak. we were in a rush, takot lambat pnye pasal.

tibe2, my dad turn left instead of right. nk gi petronas.

i was like "whaatt???we're already late!"

but what to do, can't make a u-turn.

as a result, i came late this morning.

i got to school and teacher zalilah was waiting for me asking where the certifictes were.

as far as i know, i put it in the library, same place as the trophies.

teacher said she looked for it but couldn't find it.

so we went to look for it and voila! its there.

hmmm...isn't that interesting?

today during assembly, they announced bout the debate thingy.

and they announced we're representing putrajaya to nationals.

assembly was quite short. datin was nowhere to be seen. i wonder why...

so we went to class. alyn gave me a big piece of chocolate cake.

me and alyn were talking, suddenly topek masuk; clapping.

was i embaressed? yea, a bit la.

we had 2 periods of add math but our teacher tgh sarat so we end up doing LK.as usual la.

me and fatin were sitting next to each other. fatin got up and tersiku my head.ouch.

topek; ish fatin ni, elok-elok la sket. tgk dh kne kepala tiyah. dh la dye nk g debate nasional nnt.

i was like; ye la topek.

that brings me to the next topic, law.

an 'anonymous' told me bdak law ni agak sombong.

at that time, me n umi were in the car, baru hantar kakak balik UIA, so i asked her if its true.

she said;yea, bdk law are quite sombong la.

thank god i gave up on being a lawyer 3 years ago.

so i asked umi; im in debate, would i be like that later on?

umi; yes, but you have to learn to control la. not everyone is going to turn out like that. so tiyah, you have to control yourself. dont let yourself be like that.

me; ...ok...

im worried that i'll turn out like that so guys, if i change, please tell me.

oh yea, sammy said earlier she couldnt go to nasional so teacher found a replacement. honestly speaking, we got this far as a team, why not go further as a team as well?

maybe by putting someone else in, it might make a difference for us to win.

but to me, we're a team, we worked hard to get this far together. so together we shall go, no?

im sorry to 'whom it may concern', its not that we dont like you. we have nothing against you,it's just we did this as a team. we pretty much know each other so well over the past month. we spend a lot of time together, we make stupid idiotic jokes freely without feeling embarressed,we stayed up till morning together, we know each other's live, we are in each other's lives. sorry if i sound snobbish.

debate final 2009

juz now debate final was held

the night before , nobody reli slept.

ad pon, tdo lambat.

sammy didnt evn sleep.

final english debate was between smk p16(1) and smk p11(1)

p16 went national last year

we on the other hand has NEVER past the 1st round.

so this is our first time ever going to the final round.

nerve racking...

this morning we had to draw lot.

eliza drew for p16, i drew for p11(1)

i let her drew first coz manners la, dh nme pon tuan rumah kan.

she got government, us; opposition.

the motion: as men progresses in ICT, he regresses in humanity.

we were glad?

hmm...sammy wasnt.

we had to be xtra careful coz p16 saw us debating ysterday n they were observing us.

so we had a few strategies.

obviously im not gonna tell ;)

in d quarntd room we were laughing more than worrying.

it was fun la.

throwing jokes here and there.

then the hour was up and we were whisked away to bilik audio visual.

dh ready tu suddenly one of the judge briefed us of things not to do.

we were like 'wat??'

where's the fun in that??

so dat was why debate final tak segempak as yesterday's esp 2nd round.

i stood there with my mouth hanging open.

dah habis debate tu everyone gathered at audia visual room for closing ceremony.

at this point, we were kinda sure p16 won.

they announced the winner for debat bm. it was between p16 and p8

p16 won. congrats guys!

then pn marniza announced for debate english

i remember her exact words.hahah!

"this house believe in the motion as men progresses in ICT, he regresses in humanity is....

REJECTED"

i was like, yea, i thought so, we lost.

then i looked back coz bising.

i saw our school were cheering and clapping.

then i looked at hani. clearly we all were confused.

then it hit us, WE WON!

hhahahaha!

sammy lagi la,she was like,ok, we lost.

then she looked at her paper and realised we were the opposition.

then she realised we won.hahaha!

oh, i just found out something from alyn.

she was d one who first realised we won.

alyn said najwa realised dah we won, but bcoz we didnt cheer, she was confused.

it went like this, when teacher announced the motion is rejected, she clapped and said; yay! kte menang!

then when she saw our faces, she got confused and said; eh, salah eh?

hahahahaa, sorry darling.

oh oh, adam was d best speaker!

hip hip hooray!

so pretty much we were d last one in d room to realise we won. hahaha silly us!

we were completely dumbstrucked.

xsempat celebrate langsung we were asked to go to meeting room. joy killer.

there we talked about the national level, how we could've done the debate better.

i ws so frustrated coz we planned already but the judge said x boleh.

oh well, wat to do..

so then after the briefing, we went to bilik jamuan.

and the day ended.=)

so balik rumah TDO puas2.yeaahh!

d other day before debate, cikgu zaidi asked, "boleh buat ke ni?"

so we were like boleh pnye

cikgu zaidi; kalau masuk semi-final, semi-final je, saya belanja

i said; pizzahut?

cikgu zaidi; pizzahut je??

so we got into semi-final and are going to go final.

we asked him; cikgu, ktorng dh masuk final. double la kan??

cikgu zaidi; eh, mne ade sy kte ape2. ok lah, kalau awk menang, saya belanja, kalau kalah, cancel semua.

me, hani, adam, sam n najwa; mane boleh!

so we got into final and won.=)

we hunted him down yesterday, but he just kept missing.

we kept looking at him but he avoided our looks.

no worries though.

to cikgu zaidi: you are so going down mister!
